Official publication organs

According to the law «About an order of publication and coming into effect of laws of the Republic Armenia of other regulatory legal acts» publication of laws, international treaties  of the Republic Armenia on the rights, freedoms and duties of the person, standard decrees and orders of the President of the Republic,   standard  resolutions  of National  Assembly, standard resolutions of the government and the Prime minister,  and also resolutions  of the Constitutional  Court  on compliance of the Constitution of laws, resolutions of National Assembly, decrees, orders of the President of the Republic, resolutions of the government  in "Official sheets of the Republic Armenia" surely also is considered official publication.

"Official sheets of the Republic Armenia" –  the official    periodical published by the Government.  "Official sheets  of the Republic Armenia" are published  not less often than the 2nd once a month.

The subscription to "Official sheets of the Republic Armenia" is free.

In "Official  sheets    of the Republic Armenia" according to sections are published:

• Republic Armenia laws;
• international contracts of the Republic Armenia on the rights, freedoms and duties of the person;
• standard decrees and orders of the President of the Republic;
• standard resolutions of National Assembly;
• standard resolutions of the government and Prime minister;
• resolutions of the Constitutional Court on compliance of the Constitution of laws, resolutions of National Assembly, decrees, orders of the President of the Republic, resolutions of the government.

Laws are published by the President of the Republic. Other regulatory legal acts are published by heads or officials of body accepting them.

At publication of laws and other regulatory legal acts their code, the name, a place, year, month,  date  of acceptance,  ratification  or signing, a position, the initials and a surname of signed his face, registration number is specified. The code of the legal act contains:

• the code designating a type of the legal act;
• registration number of the legal act;
• year, month, date of registration of the legal act;
• the codes designating a type of legal acts, and their registration numbers to which this legal act makes change;
• the codes designating a type of legal acts, and their registration numbers which admit this legal act become invalid.

The system of codification of legal acts affirms the Government.

Laws and other  regulatory legal acts specified in article 1 of the present Law, are published in "Official sheets of the Republic Armenia"      according to  sequence    of their direction  on publication.

According to the Law of Armenia «About a referendum» the Constitution or changes in it and the laws adopted  on a referendum,   come into force after publication in "Official sheets of the Republic Armenia" resolutions of the Central commission or the Constitutional Court on results of a referendum in five-day term from the moment of publication of projects.

According to the Law «About the Constitutional court» resolutions and the conclusions of the Constitutional Court in three-day term after their acceptance are dispatched:

• to the parties;
• To the president of the Republic, in National Assembly, the Government, the Court of review (and before its formation - in the Supreme Court) and to the General prosecutor.

Resolutions and the conclusions of the Constitutional Court are published in an official seal and in the bulletin.

Resolutions of the Constitutional Court of the Republic Armenia on recognition void laws of the Republic Armenia, resolutions of National Assembly of the Republic Armenia, decrees, orders of the President of the Republic Armenia, the resolutions of the government of the Republic Armenia contradicting the Constitution of the Republic Armenia, should be published in such order in what the acts recognised as the void are published.

The order of publication and coming into effect    of regulatory legal acts  of the ministries  and  other  departments  is defined by the Government, and regulatory legal acts of the Central bank - the Central bank.

Official reprinting of laws and other regulatory legal acts is carried out in the order established by the Government.

Legal acts of the Republic Armenia are stated in an official state  language  of the Republic Armenia — literary Armenian language.
