In recent years on the republic specific and purposeful work in the field of ensuring steady legal regulation of the public relations in the field of protection of interests of the state and safety, increase in their quality and efficiency, and also protection of the population and the territories of the republic against emergency situations of natural and technogenic nature is on a large scale conducted.
At the same time in the republic there is need of specific establishment of mechanisms of simplification of procedure for issue of permissions to transit of particular loads and military forming, reduction of risks of the natural disasters connected with climate change and also estimates of the damage caused owing to emergency situations.
This Law makes changes and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About transit of exceptional loads and the military contingents" in the form of reducing term of decision making concerning issue of permission to transit of exceptional loads and the military contingents from thirty days from the date of adoption of the statement up to twenty days, and also possibility of prolongation of this term for ten days in case of need of additional studying and (or) checks, and also request of additional documents. The validity of permission to transit is extended from thirty days to ninety days.
Also this Law makes changes and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About protection of the population and the territories against emergency situations of natural and technogenic nature", providing determination of tasks republican and the local executive bodies authorized on the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations on protection of the population and the territories against the emergency situations of natural and technogenic nature and natural disasters connected with climate change and also assessment of the damage caused as a result of emergency situations.
