1. These rules establish procedure of control and supervision in the field of education.
2. Control and supervision in the field of education are performed by the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science and authorized bodies of the executive authority of subjects of the Russian Federation exercising control and supervision in the field of education (further - authorized body of the executive authority of the subject of the Russian Federation), within the competence established by the Law of the Russian Federation "About education" and the Federal Law "About the Higher and Postgraduate Professional Education".
3. Authorized bodies of the executive authority of subjects of the Russian Federation annually represent to Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science information on the activities for control and supervision in the field of education in the form established by this Service.
