About entering of amendments and changes into the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About defense"

Accepted by National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on April 7, 2016

Article 1.  ZR-198 of November 27 "About defense" (further – the Law) after the word of "troops" to add item 4 of part 1 of article 3 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia with words ", forces of the state authorized body of civil defense and emergency situations".

Article 2. In article 4 of the Law:

Part 3 to state 1) in the following edition:

"3. Forces of the state authorized body of civil defense and emergency situations by means of transition to time of war or warlike situation under operational management of command of armed forces participate in defense.",

Part 8 to add 2) with Item 8.1 of the following content:

"8. 1) creation and development of divisions of defense and rescue divisions of high degree of readiness with necessary structure, number, modern weapon, the military and rescue equipment,".

Article 3. To add part 2 of article 15 of the Law with Item 2.1 of the following content:

"2. 1) participate in actions of civil defense,".

Article 4. Add the Law with Article 15.1 of the following content:

"Article 15.1. Territorial defense

1. The state authorized body of civil defense and emergency situations in peace time creates territorial system of defense, for the purpose of protection of the territory of the Republic of Armenia which is outside zone of contact of armed forces of the Republic of Armenia and the opponent during military operations.

2. Forces of the state authorized body of civil defense and emergency situations:

1) participate in defense of the Republic of Armenia;
