About introduction of amendments to some laws of Ukraine concerning ensuring transparency of property of mass media and realization of the principles of state policy in the field of television and broadcasting

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Make changes to the following laws of Ukraine:

1. In the Law of Ukraine "About National council of Ukraine concerning television and broadcasting" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2005, No. 16, Art. 265 with subsequent changes):

Article 13 to add 1) with the paragraph the thirteenth the following content:

"control and supervision of observance by the teleradio organizations and providers of program service of requirements for disclosure of information on final beneficial owners (controllers), and in case of their absence - about all owners and members of the teleradio organization or providers of program service and all physical persons and owners and members of legal entities at all levels of chain of ownership of corporate laws of the teleradio organization or provider of program service, about the connected persons and about structure of property of the teleradio organization or provider of program service. Control is exercised by giving of requests by National council about provision of information in public authorities and local government bodies, physical persons and legal entities, requests for receipt of information from the state registers, and also requests on provision of information in competent authorities of foreign states according to the international regulatory legal acts ratified by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine";

2) in paragraph seven of Article 14 of the word "State Register of the Teleradio Organizations of Ukraine" shall be replaced with words "The state register of subjects of information activities in the field of television and broadcasting";

Part third of Article 16 to add 3) with the paragraph the eleventh the following content:

"information on accomplishment by the teleradio organizations and providers of program service of requirements for disclosure of information on final beneficial owners (controllers), on the connected persons and on structure of property";

4) in Article 17:
