About single questions of general secondary education

For the purpose of providing for all citizens of equal opportunities of receipt of the general secondary education answering to modern conditions of social and economic development of the Republic of Belarus and according to part three of article 101 of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus:

1. Determine that:

1.1. date of receipt:

general basic education constitutes 9 years (for persons with features of psychophysical development - 9-10 years);

general secondary education - 11 years (for persons with features of psychophysical development - 11-12 years);

general secondary education at evening schools, classes, training and counseling centers in which training is performed by the standard curriculum of evening school, - 12 years (for persons with features of psychophysical development - 12-13 years);

1.2. terms of training at steps of general secondary education constitute:

at the I step - 4 years (for persons with features of psychophysical development - 4-5 years);

at the II step - 5 years;

at III step - 2 years, at evening schools, classes, training and counseling centers in which training is performed by the standard curriculum of evening school, - 3 years;

1.3. studies in academic year are performed from September 1 to June 1. If the specified dates fall on non-working day, then studies in academic year begin in subsequent and come to an end in the prior working day;

1.4. educational process when training at I, II and III steps of general secondary education will be organized in the mode of the six-day school week including five-day educational week and one day for carrying out with pupils of sports and mass, sports and improving, other educational actions, the organizations of labor training, including studies on industrial practice objects.

In IX (X)-XI (XII) classes in the sixth school day optional classes can be given;
