About social security of disabled people in the Republic of Tajikistan
This Law determines state policy of the Republic of Tajikistan concerning disabled people for the purpose of ensuring their social security, creation of opportunities, equal with all other citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan, by it in realization of the rights and freedoms, elimination of the restrictions in their life activity, creating favorable conditions allowing disabled people to participate actively in economic and political life of society, and also to carry out the civil obligations.
Disabled people in the Republic of Tajikistan have all completeness of the social and economic, political and personal rights and freedoms set by the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan and other legal acts of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Discrimination of disabled people is forbidden and pursued under the law.
The disabled person person who in connection with restriction of life activity owing to availability of physical or intellectual defects needs the public assistance and protection is recognized. Restriction of life activity of person is expressed in complete or partial loss of capability or opportunity to perform self-service, movement, orientation, communication, control of the behavior, and also to be engaged in labor activity by it.
Recognition of person by the disabled person is performed in accordance with the established procedure by the state bodies authorized on that.
