About National Archive Fund and archives in the Republic of Belarus
This Law governs the public relations on establishment of organization-legal and economic bases of accumulating, accounting, storage and use of documents of National Archive Fund and archives in the Republic of Belarus.
For this Law the terms provided below have the following values:
the archive document - the document kept or which is subject to preserving owing to its importance for the state and society irrespective of data carrier type, and equally having historical, scientific, art, cultural value for the owner;
the technetronic document - the document which creation and reproduction require use of special technical means and modern technologies;
documentary monument - the unique or especially important archive document in accordance with the established procedure referred to category of documentary monuments;
archive fund - set of archive documents, historically and logically connected among themselves;
documents on staff - the documents created in case of registration for work, dismissal, movement of the worker on leave provision, sending, encouragement, salary payment, and also other documents which are part of the personal record;
archive - set of archive documents, and also archive organization or structural division of state body, the company, organization, the organizations performing completing, accounting, storage and use of archive documents;
secret archive - archive which it is not declared publicly;
archiving - activities for completing of archives, stores organizations, accounting and use of archive documents;
permanent storage of archive documents - dead (eternal) storage;
