About modification and amendments in the Law "About the General Education"
Accepted by National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on May 6, 2026
Article 1. In article 12 of the Law of July 10, 2009 No. ZR-160 "About the general education" (further - the Law):
1) to state part 2 in the following edition:
"2. For vacant post of the director there can be nominated person who received according to the procedure, established by authorized body of public administration by education, the right of management of general education educational institution (certificate) or the certificate of the right of management (further - the certificate).";
2) to state part 3 in the following edition:
"3. Person conforming to requirements of part 1 of article 40.1 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About education" can address for the certificate.";
Shall be replaced with words 3) in part 9 of the word "in cases of cancellation of the certificate established by this law or authorized body of public administration by education" "in cases of cancellation of the certificate established by the laws".
Article 2. To add part 1 of article 29 of the law with Item 17.1 of the following content:
"17. 1) approves joint programs with non-state educational institution and private sector;".
Article 3. State article 31 of the law in the following edition:
"Article 31. Powers of body of territorial administration and the city hall of Yerevan in the field of the general education
