About modification of some regulations (regarding identification and registration of animals)

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. - In the Law on identification and registration of animals No. 231/2006 (repeated publication: The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2016, Art. No. 399-404, 806), with subsequent changes to make the following changes:

1. In all text of the law of the word "territorial subdivision on safety of foodstuff" in the corresponding number and case shall be replaced with words "territorial subdivision of the National agency on safety of foodstuff" in the corresponding number and case.

2. In Article 1:

part (to add 1) after the word of "animals" with words ", and also requirements to traceability";

part (to state 2) in the following edition:

"(2) Provisions of this law are applied to activities for identification and registration of animal types of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, animals of family horse, except for wild animals, and also on identification and registration of bees and beekeeping farms.";

"(The Requirements to traceability provided by this law include 3):

1) identification of animals depending on their types and categories;

2) registration of animals and objects in the State register of animals;

3) accounting of animal and related events as follows:

a) accounting of animal types of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, animals of family horse and bees individually or batches, according to special rules for each type;

b) accounting of bird and rabbits - livestock and the related events at the level of object;

4) transfer and updating of data in the Automated information system "State Register of Animals" and the Information system "BeeProtect" according to this law.".

3. State Article 3 in the following edition:

"Article 3. Basic concepts

For the purpose of this law the concepts determined in the Law on beekeeping No. 70/2006 and the Law on veterinary and sanitary activities No. 221/2007, and also the following concepts are used:
