About introduction of amendments to the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic "About culture"
Millie Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic, being guided by Items 1 and 15 of part I of article 94 of the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic, decides:
In the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic "About culture" (The collection of legal acts of the Azerbaijan Republic, 2013, No. 2, Article 78 (volume I); 2024, No. 4, article 365, No. 5 (book I), Article 499; 2026, No. 1, Article 19) to make the following changes:
1. In Article 1.0.8 of the word "the cultural industry-" shall be replaced with words "the cultural and creative industry - the system of the economic relations consisting of set of the types of economic activity based on culture and creativity and also".
2. In Article 3.2.15 of the word "culture, including show business" shall be replaced with words "the cultural and creative industry".
3. In Article 4.0.1 of the word "cultural industry" shall be replaced with words "the cultural and creative industry".
4. Exclude Article 5.3.
5. In Articles 14.2.2 and 27.3 of the word "cultural industry" shall be replaced with words "the cultural and creative industry".
6. Add Article 45.4 of the following content:
"45.4. Grant financing of projects in the field of culture is performed according to the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic "About grants" for the purpose of the stimulation of innovative activities and researches aimed at the development and improvement of quality of cultural services, and also the cultural and creative industries, development of infrastructure of cultural institutions, and also increase in awareness in the field of culture. The procedure for carrying out tenders on grant financing of projects in the field of culture is determined by body (organization) appointed by the relevant executive body".
