About introduction of amendments to the Law "About Drugs and Psychotropic (Psychoactive) Substances"
Accepted by National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on December 17, 2025
Article 1. State part 4 of article 47 of the Law of December 26, 2002 to No. ZR-518 "About drugs and psychotropic (psychoactive) substances" (further - the law) in the following edition:
"4. Physical examination of persons specified in part one of this Article is carried out by the state within programs for protection and improvement of health.".
Article 2. State parts 6 and 7 of article 49 of the law in the following edition:
"6. In case of receipt of medical care and services drug addicts have the rights of patients, and also, in the cases provided by the law, insured persons according to the legislation regulating the sphere of protection of public health including general medical insurance.
7. The state guarantees to drug addicts appropriate medical care and services on the basis of programs of protection and improvement of health, including provisions of the Law "About General Medical Insurance".".
Article 3. This law becomes effective next day after its official publication.
