About modification and amendments in the Law "About Reproductive Health and Reproductive Rights of the Person"
Accepted by National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on December 17, 2025
Article 1. Part 1 of article 4 of the Law of December 11, 2002 No. ZR-474 "About reproductive health and the reproductive rights of the person" (further - the Law):
1) to exclude words "procedure for delivery of health care and servicing with use of auxiliary reproductive technologies on free or preferential terms and requirements imposed to beneficiaries are established by the Government of the Republic of Armenia: Each person has the sexual and other reproductive rights necessary for life established by this law and other laws.".
To add 2) with Item 9 of the following content:
"9) other sexual and reproductive rights having the vital value and provided by the law.".
Article 2. To add article 4 of the law with part 1.1 following of content:
"1.1. The procedure, amounts and requirements imposed on beneficiaries to medical care and servicing using auxiliary reproductive technologies, auxiliary fertilization within programs of preserving and improvement of health of the population, general medical insurance are established by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.".
Article 3. State part 6 of article 6 of the law in the following edition:
"6. The medical care and services connected with pregnancy and childbirth are provided to the woman according to the procedure, established by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, based on provisions of the law "About General Medical Insurance".".
Article 4. This law becomes effective next day after its official publication.
Article 5. The subordinate regulatory legal acts following from this Law are accepted no later than within six months after the introduction of this law in force.
