1. The state committee of forestry of Ukraine (Goskomleskhoz) is the central executive body concerning forest, hunting economy and hunting which activities go and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the Minister of protection of the surrounding environment.
Goskomleskhoz makes in accordance with the established procedure offers to the Minister of protection of the surrounding environment concerning forming of state policy in the field of forest and hunting economy, hunting and hunting dog breeding, provides their realization, exercises control in this sphere, and also cross-industry coordination and functional regulation on questions which are within its competence.
2. Goskomleskhoz in the activities is guided by the Constitution and the laws of Ukraine, and also the presidential decrees of Ukraine and resolutions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted according to the Constitution and the laws of Ukraine, acts of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, this Provision and other regulatory legal acts.
