About modification and amendments in some legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan concerning the responsible treatment of animals

Article 1. Make changes and additions to the following legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

1. In the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of January 23, 2001 "About local public administration and self-government in the Republic of Kazakhstan":

1) in Article 27:

add Item 1 with subitem 1-18) of the following content:

"1-18) develops and submits for approval in the relevant maslikhat of the rule of content of animals, rules of content and range of pets, rules of catching, temporary content and killing of animals, offers on establishment of borders of sanitary zones of content of animals;";

add Item 1-9 with subitems 7-1), 7-2) and 7-3) of the following content:

"7-1) determines places in which the range of pets or stay with animals with other purpose are prohibited, and also if necessary equips places for range of pets;

7-2) will organize information support of activities of shelters for animals and the social advertizing directed to transfer of animals to new owners, search of owners of the lost animals, informing on need of sterilization of pets;

7-3) will organize regulation of number of vagrant animals;";

Item 1 of Article 31 to add 2) with subitems 1-12), 1-13) and 1-14) of the following content:
