About introduction of amendments to the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic "About investing activities"
Millie Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic, being guided by Items 1, of 11, 13 and 26 parts I of article 94 of the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic, decides:
In article 13 of the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic "About investing activities" (The collection of the legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic, 2022, No. 7, Article 702 (volume I); 2024, No. 2, Article 138) to make the following changes:
1. In Article 13.1 after the word "for" to add the word "and concerning investments of strategic importance, for the purpose of prevention of the exceptional circumstances causing damage to interests of the state and the people of Azerbaijan or contradicting national interests of the Azerbaijan Republic".
2. To add the second offer of the following content to Article 13.2:
"Receipt of investments from the investor for the state needs, and concerning investments of strategic importance, for the purpose of prevention of the exceptional circumstances causing damage to interests of the state and the people of Azerbaijan or contradicting national interests of the Azerbaijan Republic is not considered discrimination".
3. To exclude words from Article 13.3 "According to the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic "About land acquisition for the state needs".
4. In Article 13.4 of the word "compensation which is subject to payment according to Article" shall be replaced with words "compensation provided in Article is paid according to the procedure, established in the investment agreement, and in case of lack of such procedure".
5. Add Article 13.5 of the following content:
