In recent years in our country large-scale work on the prevention of the offenses connected with fuel and energy resources and also on the system organization of activities in the field of energy saving, rational energy use and increase in energy efficiency, to ensuring efficient state control in the field is carried out.
At the same time there is need of acceptance of adequate measures according to the prevention of the offenses connected with fuel and energy resources and also enhancement of measures of responsibility for making of the offenses connected with wasteful expenditure of electrical and heat energy, use of gas in fuel quality or raw materials.
This Law makes the changes in the Criminal code of the Republic of Uzbekistan providing toughening of measures of punishment for abuse of regulations of use of electrical, heat energy, gas and water supply system, and to the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan about the administrative responsibility - the changes directed to elimination of uncertainty in law-enforcement practice, the prevention of making by individual entrepreneurs of the offenses connected with fuel and energy resources and increase in effectiveness of measures of punishment for such offenses.
This Law will serve ensuring energy saving, rational energy use and increase in energy efficiency, the prevention of the offenses connected with fuel and energy resources and also protection of legitimate interests of citizens.
