1. Approve the Technical regulation "Safety Requirements of Nutritional Supplements, Fragrances and Technological Supportive Applications" it (is applied).

2. Agency of standardization, metrology, certification and trade inspection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan together with the relevant ministries and departments to take necessary measures for implementation of this Technical regulation.

3. Enact this resolution after six months after official publication.

Technical regulation "Safety Requirements of Nutritional Supplements, Fragrances and Technological Supportive Applications"

1. General provisions

1. The technical regulation "Safety Requirements of Nutritional Supplements, Fragrances and Technological Supportive Applications" (further - the Technical regulation) establishes obligatory for application and execution of requirements to the nutritional supplements, fragrances and technological supportive applications and their content in food products released in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan, the requirement to production process, storages, transportations, realization and utilizations and also the requirement to marking, packaging and assessment of conformity for ensuring free movement of products.

2. The technical regulation is developed for the purpose of protection of life and health of the person, the environment, life and (or) health of animals, the prevention of the actions misleading consumers.

3. Objects of technical regulation of the Technical regulation are:

1) nutritional supplements, complex dietary supplements;

2) fragrances;

3) technological supportive applications;

4) food products regarding content in it nutritional supplements, biologically active agents from fragrances, residual amounts of technological supportive applications;

5) production processes, storages, transportations, realization and utilizations of nutritional supplements, fragrances and technological supportive applications.

4. Action of the Technical regulation does not extend to the processes of production, storage, transportation, realization, utilization and use of the nutritional supplements, fragrances and technological supportive applications intended only for private consumption, and not intended for release into the stream of commerce in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan performed by citizens in house conditions and (or) in personal subsidiary farms.

2. Basic concepts

5. For implementation of the Technical regulation the following concepts are used:

1) antioxidant - the nutritional supplement intended for delay of process of oxidation and increase in expiration dates of food products (food raw materials);

2) the amplifier of taste (aroma) - the nutritional supplement intended for strengthening of taste and (or) modification of natural taste and (or) aroma of foodstuff;

3) sealant - the nutritional supplement intended for preserving density of fabrics of fruit, vegetables and hardening of gel structure of foodstuff;
