In recent years in the country the reforms aimed at providing independence of judicial authority, legal proceedings enhancement, and also strengthening of guarantees of protection of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens and subjects of business activity through court are undertaken.
At the same time establishment in the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the new edition of new regulations concerning the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its powers is caused by need of carrying out reforms of activities of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the basis of single approach.
"About courts" and "About the Supreme judicial council of the Republic of Uzbekistan" are brought by this Law of regulation of the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan into accord with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Besides, in the Code of penal procedure of the Republic of Uzbekistan it is determined that the suspect, the person accused or the defendant shall not prove the innocence and at any time can use the right to keep silence, nobody shall witness against himself and close relatives, person can be found guilty or subjected to punishment if recognition of the fault by it is the single proof against it, and also the criminal record of person and consequence in law following from this cannot be the basis for restriction of the rights of his relatives.
