About entering of amendments and changes into the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About the rights of persons with disability"

In the country large-scale work on creation of the conditions necessary for providing the rights of persons with disability, and also consecutive implementation is carried out to the national legal system of the universally international standards and standards in the field of human rights and freedoms.
At the same time there is need for further enhancement of the legislation on the rights of persons with disability for the purpose of creation to persons with disability of the additional terms giving them opportunity of implementation of human rights and freedoms on an equal basis with other citizens.
This Law makes changes to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About the rights of persons with disability", providing creation of additional terms for providing the rights of persons with disability on access to justice, to choose and be elected, to participate in referendum, and also on education.
Besides, based on the Convention on the rights of disabled people the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About the rights of persons with disability" is supplemented with the regulations determining communication forms which can be used for communication with persons with disability, and also the basis for adaptation of objects of social infrastructure for easy access of persons to them with disability. Also for the purpose of realization of administrative reforms the concept "state bodies" is replaced with the concept "republican executive bodies".
This Law will serve ensuring protection of the rights of persons with disability by implementation in the national legal system of the universally international standards and standards in the field of human rights and freedoms.
