About introduction of amendments to the Disciplinary charter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine concerning updating in former military rank during action of warlike situation

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Bring in the Disciplinary charter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine approved by the Law of Ukraine "About the Disciplinary charter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1999, No. 22-23, of Art. 197 with the following changes), the following changes:

1. Add Article 15 with the Item "-2" of the following content:

"-2) renewal in former military rank during action of warlike situation".

2. Add with Article 26-2 of the following content:

"26-2. During action of warlike situation the serviceman deprived of military rank in disciplinary procedure renews in rank which it had before collection imposing, irrespective of established position which he holds, on condition of positive certification.

The minimum term of passing of military service by the serviceman during action of warlike situation before application to it of encouragement, stipulated in Item "-2" article 15 of this Charter, constitutes six months.

The right to apply encouragement, stipulated in Item "-2" article 15 of this Charter, is provided:

To the Minister of Defence of Ukraine - rather military ranks of officers;

To the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - rather military ranks of sergeant (foreman) structure.

Person recovered in military rank has the rights and privileges established by the legislation according to recovered military rank".

II. Final provisions

1. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.

2. To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in ten-day time from the date of publication of this Law:

provide adoption of the regulatory legal acts necessary for implementation of this Law;

bring the regulatory legal acts into accord with this Law;
