In recent years in our country the large-scale reforms directed to implementation of information and communication technologies in all industries are performed.
However as a result of illegal and mercenary use by some persons of achievements of modern digital technologies the rights and legitimate interests of citizens are violated and damage is caused to the state. It assumes establishment of responsibility for the new types of crimes made with use of digital technologies.
This Law makes the additions in the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan about the administrative responsibility providing the administrative responsibility for illegal change of the international unique identification code of the mobile device or identification module of the subscriber device, for violation of the law in the field of turnover crypto - assets and illegal implementation of activities for mining. Besides, the changes and additions in the Criminal code of the Republic of Uzbekistan providing criminal liability for racketing by destruction, change, occupancy or blocking of information resources of the victim and also for violation of the law in the field of turnover crypto - assets and illegal implementation of activities for mining are made.
At the same time this Law makes the additions in the Code of penal procedure of the Republic of Uzbekistan providing specification of the body performing pretrial investigation and inquiry.
This Law will serve the prevention of new types of the crimes committed with use of information and communication technologies and ensuring inevitability of punishment for the made offenses.
