About additional measures for accomplishment of obligations for international treaties and membership of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the international organizations in the field of environmental protection

In the country consecutive work on strengthening international cooperation in the field of environmental protection, rational use and recovery of natural resources, ensuring stability of biological diversity, development and expansion of the protected natural territories, integrated management of activities for the address with waste, and also improvements of sanitary condition is carried out.

In particular, for the purpose of implementation of the international standards in the national legal system, application of the new approaches in the problem resolution arising owing to technical and engineering procedures in the field of environmental protection, and also active participation in the efforts of the international community directed to preserving safe level of the environment and fight against climate changes, the Republic of Uzbekistan becomes the participant of new international treaties and the member of the international organizations.

For the purpose of ensuring effective implementation of the obligations of the Republic of Uzbekistan following from requirements of international treaties and the international organizations:

1. Take into consideration that:

according to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About ratification of the Stockholm convention on resistant organic pollutants (Stockholm, on May 22, 2001)" the Republic of Uzbekistan ratifies the Stockholm convention on resistant organic pollutants;

The Republic of Uzbekistan became on October 20, 2021 the member of International union of conservation;

according to requirements of international treaties and the international organizations the Republic of Uzbekistan assumed liability on payment of the membership fees.

2. Approve the offer of the Ministry of ecology, environmental protection and climate change on payment of the membership fees of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Stockholm convention on resistant organic pollutants and International union of conservation for 2023 at the expense of means of its Off-budget fund.

3. And finance according to requests of the Ministry of ecology, environmental protection and climate change to provide to the Ministry of Economics since 2024 prediscretion in forecast parameters of the Government budget of the means necessary for payment of the membership fees.

4. Make changes to the List of state bodies and other organizations, actionees of obligations according to international treaties and membership of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the international organizations approved by the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of June 22, 2020 No. PP-4756, according to appendix.

5. Assign to the minister of ecology, environmental protection and climate change the personal responsibility for the effective organization of execution of this resolution.
