Based on part (4) article 25 of the Law No. 119/2018 on medicines of veterinary assignment (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2018, Art. No. 309-320, 468) and parts (1) article 37 of the Law No. 221/2007 on veterinary and sanitary activities (repeated publication: The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2013, Art. No. 125-129, 396), with subsequent changes, DECIDES: the Government

1. Approve Requirements for equipment and operation of units authorized to own, distribute and issue medicines of veterinary assignment, according to appendix No. 1.

2. Recognize invalid some regulations, according to appendix No. 2.

3. To impose control over the implementation of this resolution on the National agency on safety of foodstuff.

4. This resolution becomes effective after 3 months from the date of publication, except for Item 11 of the specified requirements which becomes effective after 12 months from the date of entry into force of this resolution.

Requirements for equipment and operation of units authorized to own, distribute and issue medicines of veterinary assignment

Chapter I General provisions

1. Requirements for equipment and operation of units authorized to own, distribute and issue medicines of veterinary assignment, (further - Requirements) regulate sanitary and veterinary conditions of the organization, functioning, equipment and operation of pharmaceutical veterinary warehouses, veterinary dispensaries and professional livestock objects.

2. For the purposes of these Requirements the used concepts have the following values:

pharmaceutical veterinary warehouse - the veterinary and pharmaceutical company which object of activity is acquisition, storage, quality assurance (in the conditions of temperature, humidity and light specified by the producer) and wholesale (wholesale trade) of medicines of veterinary assignment, reagents and diagnostic veterinary sets, other medicines of veterinary assignment, food for animal and medicinal forages;

the veterinary dispensary - pharmaceutical organization which owns prepares and implements medicines of veterinary assignment which are issued according to the veterinary recipe or without it, reagents and diagnostic veterinary sets, food for animals, medicinal forages, accessories, tools and other medicines of veterinary assignment in retail distribution;

the main medicine of veterinary assignment - the medicine of veterinary assignment made ekstemporalno in veterinary dispensary according to the recipe of the veterinarian, intended for individual treatment of animal;

official medicine of veterinary assignment - the medicine of veterinary assignment developed in veterinary dispensary according to provisions of the European Pharmacopoeia;

other medicines of veterinary assignment - other products used in veterinary activities including veterinary dental products, veterinary products of cosmetic assignment, parapharmaceutical veterinary products, biocidal products, except reagents and diagnostic veterinary sets and food for animals;

veterinary product of cosmetic assignment - any product which is not containing pharmacological active agents and not having therapeutic or biocidal action, provided in different forms, intended for drawing on skin, hair, mucous membranes, teeth, nails/hoof of animals for decoration, leaving, protection, cleaning/disinfection, aromatization, removal of different smells or undesirable components;
