Article 1. Bring in the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "About veterans" of April 7, 1995 (Akhbori of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, 1995, No. 7-8, of Art. 67; 1996, No. 3, Art. 48; 1998, No. 22, Art. 295; 2004, No. 2, Art. 41; 2007, No. 7, Art. 657; 2010, No. 1, Art. 18; 2020, No. 12, Art. 915) following changes:
1. To state preamble of the Law in the following edition:
"This Law determines legal status of veterans and establishes procedure for realization of state policy concerning veterans.".
2. To state the name and part one of Article 1 in the following edition:
"Purpose and tasks of the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan on veterans
The purpose of the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan on veterans is providing to veterans of worthy life and participation in different fields of activity of society and state.".
3. 2, 4 and 5 to state Articles in the following edition:
"Article 2. Legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan on veterans
The legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan on veterans is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan and consists of this Law, other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Tajikistan, and also the international legal acts recognized by Tajikistan.
Article 4. Coverage of this Law
Operation of this Law extends to the persons who are constantly living in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan, recognized as the veteran according to the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Article 5. Application of operation of this Law to veterans - foreign citizens and stateless persons
