About modification of the Treaty of friendship, cooperation and mutual aid between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation of May 25, 1992

The Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation which are hereinafter referred to as "Party"

considering objective realities of the present, new challenges and threats of regional and global security, and also forming of regional integration associations,

wishing to enhance the contractual legal basis of bilateral cooperation,

aiming at further deepening of strategic partnership and the allied relations on all range of bilateral interaction,

confirming the basic principles of the Treaty of friendship, cooperation and mutual aid between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation signed on May 25, 1992 in Moscow (further - the Agreement),

being effective according to article 37 of the Agreement,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

Make the following changes and additions to the Agreement:

1) in preamble:

in paragraph four:

words of "Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe" shall be replaced with words "Organizations For Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCEs)";

after the paragraph of the fourth to add the paragraph of the following content:

"declaring the determination to advance the idea of forming of the free, democratic, general and indivisible Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian community of safety founded on the agreed principles, joint liabilities and common goals including lack of any dividing lines,";
