About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About public service" concerning removal of age restrictions for work in public service

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Bring in the Law of Ukraine "About public service" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2016, No. 4, Art. 43; 2019, No. 43, Art. 250) following changes:

1. In Article 83:

third to add part with the offer of the following content: "The dismissal wage is paid to the government employee who is exempted based on Item 7 parts one of this Article one-timely at his desire in case of achievement of 65-year age or the termination of public service in case of its prolongation according to part four of this Article";

add with part four of such content:

"4. Due to requirements of service the government employee according to the solution of subject of appointment can be left in public service after achievement of 65-year age in its consent. The decision on prolongation of term of stay in public service is made by the subject of appointment annually, but no more than before achievement of 70-year age by the government employee. The termination of public service by the government employee which stay term in public service was prolonged according to this part is performed based on Item 7 parts one of this Article".

2. To state paragraph two of part four of Article 91 in the following edition:

"Powers of the subject of appointment concerning the Chief of staff of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, except cases, stipulated in Item 35 parts one of article 85 of the Constitution of Ukraine, are performed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine".

II. Final and transitional provisions

1. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.

2. Make changes to such laws of Ukraine:

1) in article 18 of the Law of Ukraine "About service in local government bodies" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2001, No. 33, Art. 175; 2012, Art. No. 12-13 82, No. 29, Art. 334):
