About introduction of amendments and changes in the Labor code of the Republic of Armenia

Article 1. Article 105 of the Labor code of the Republic of Armenia of November 9, 2004 (further - the Code) to add with part 1.1 following of content:

"1.1. In the cases provided by part of 1 this Article, essential working conditions of person who is actually looking after the child who is not on vacation during the entire period of child care up to one year cannot be replaced with less favorable conditions, except for names of position and (or) categories.".

Article 2. To exclude the word "3" from Item 2.2 of part 1 of article 114 of the Code, and the words "8-10" shall be replaced with words "8 and 10".

Article 3. To add article 171 of the Code with Item 6 of the following content:

"6) leave on paternity.".

Article 4. Add the code with Article 176.1 of the following content:

"Article 176.1. Leave on paternity

1. Within 30 days after the child's birth at the request of the father of the child the paid leave lasting five working days is granted, for each of which employer pays in the amount of the average daily salary of the worker.".

Article 5. Entry into force of the Law

1. This Law becomes effective next day after its official publication.

2. Articles 3 and 4 of this Law become effective since January 1, 2021.
