About modification and amendments in the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About protection of atmospheric air"
Accepted by National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on March 1, 2017
Article 1. In article 2 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia of October 11, 1994 No. ZR-121 "About protection of atmospheric air":
Item 5 to state 1) in the following edition:
"5) pollution of atmospheric air - penetration of the contaminating (harmful) substances into atmospheric air or their education in it in such concentration which exceed threshold limit values of the substances contaminating atmospheric air;";
Item 8 to state 2) in the following edition:
8) the emission source - processing equipment or object of which the contaminating (harmful) substance is thrown out (gets) into atmospheric air;";
Item 16 to state 3) in the following edition:
"The best available technology - the production technology solutions, processes and the modes based on modern scientific and technical achievements which confirmed the practical applicability and which application promotes careful use of natural resources prevents 16) and if it is impossible - reduces harmful effects on the environment (the atmosphere, water resources, soil cover, the biosphere);";
To add 4) with Item 20 of the following content:
"20) technical standard rates of emissions of pollutants (the sphere of quotas) - emissions which arise in case of use of the best available technology.".
Article 2. "-establishment of procedure for the state accounting of emissions" to add article 5 of the Law after the paragraph with the new paragraph of the following content:
"-establishment of maximum permissible levels of emissions of the vehicles operated in the territory of the Republic of Armenia, setting standards and controlling structure of emissions in the atmosphere".
Article 3. This Law becomes effective for the tenth day after its official publication.
