About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About culture" concerning determination of the concept "creative industries"

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Bring in the Law of Ukraine "About culture" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2011, No. 24, Art. 168; 2017, No. 26, Art. 298) following changes:

1. To add part one of Article 1 with Item 5-1-of the following content:

"5-1) creative industries - types of economic activity which purpose is creation of value added and workplaces through cultural (art) and/or creative expression and their products and services are result of individual creativity".

2. The second Article 4 to add part with the paragraph the sixth the following content:

"protection, encouragement and support of cultural diversity as one of the most important factors of sustainable development of the state".

II. Final provisions

1. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.

2. To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine within six months from the date of entry into force of this Law:

determine types of economic activity which belong to the creative industries;

bring the regulatory legal acts into accord with this Law;

provide reduction by the ministries, other central executive bodies of their regulatory legal acts in compliance with this Law.
