Article 1. "About television and radio" (of October 9, 2000, ZR-97, further - the Law) to state article 11 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia in the following edition:
"Article 11. Telecasts during election propaganda (preparation for referenda) of elections (referenda)
During the period established for implementation of election propaganda (preparation for referenda) of elections (referenda):
a) telecasts are broadcast with compliance with the legislation on elections (referenda);
b) TV companies shall provide equal conditions for candidates and the batches participating in elections to National assembly, party blocks, having publicly reported cost for the broadcasting time of paid TV programs and other conditions essential to the agreement on broadcasting;
c) the impartial and deprived of estimates information on election propaganda (preparation for referenda) of the candidates, batches, party blocks (participating in elections of the parties) shall be provided in the information programs broadcast by broadcasting company, providing observance of fair and equal conditions;
d) broadcasting of the pre-election propaganda telecasts provided to candidates, batches, party blocks at the expense of pre-election funds (in case of public television - the free broadcasting time which is also established by the law) shall be followed by continuous subtitle on the screen, "election propaganda (preparation for referendum)", and in case of broadcasting at least, than time three minutes during each program shall be reminded of it.
In the election day (referendum) and in previous day it is forbidden to broadcast propaganda material, in the form of the information, editorial, documentary, author's program or in any other type to perform pre-election (preparation of referendum) propaganda.".
