About modification and amendments in the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia

Article 1. To add part 2 of article 104 of the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia of April 18, 2003 (further - the Code) with Item 10.1 of the following content:

"10. 1) which was made during conflicts by their participant,".

Article 2. To state parts 1 and 2 of article 225 of the Code in the following edition:

"1. Organization of mass riots,

attracts imprisonment, for a period of four up to ten years.

2. Making of violence, riots or arson, destruction or damage of property, use of weapon, explosives or destructive devices or resistance to authority during conflicts their participant,

attracts imprisonment from three to eight years if making of these acts by itself do not attract more severe penalty according to other Articles of this Code.".

Article 3. To recognize part 3 of article 225 of the Code invalid.

Article 4. To remove the words "or mass riots" from part 4 of article 225 of the Code.

Article 5. To add article 225 of the Code with part 5 of the following content:

"5. In this Code actions more than one person, expressed by use of violence, riots or arson, destruction or damage of property, use of weapon, explosives or destructive devices or resistance to authority owing to which public safety is threatened are considered as mass riots.".
