About modification of article 28 of the Law of Ukraine "About television and broadcasting" concerning determination of transfers of the European production

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

1. Part the fourth article 28 of the Law of Ukraine "About television and broadcasting" (2006, 18, the Art. 155) to state sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to No. in the following edition:

"4. Licensees (except satellite broadcasting) in periods between 07:00 and 23.00 shall observe the following proportions between the Ukrainian and foreign transfers:

transfers of the European production, and also the USA and Canada shall constitute at least 70 percent of total week amount of broadcasting, including at least 50 percent of total week amount of broadcasting - transfer of the Ukrainian production;

in radio programs pieces of music of the Ukrainian authors and contractors shall constitute at least 50 percent of total weekly amount of broadcasting.

For the purposes of this part the program created by one or several legal resident persons of the states ratifying the European convention on cross-border television is considered transfer of the European production.

To transfers of the European production, except the cases determined by this part the programs created by request of legal resident persons of the states ratifying the European convention on cross-border television also belong if only direct producer of such transfers are resident persons of such states.

If program is created by the order or with the assistance of one or several legal resident persons of the state recognized by the Supreme Council of Ukraine the state aggressor and/or the state invader it cannot be considered as transfer of the European or Ukrainian production".

2. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.
