About modification of Article 247 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

1. Article 247 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine (2013, Art. No. No. 9-13, 88) to add sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with part two of the following content:

"2. Consideration of petitions for provision of permission to carrying out secret investigative (search) actions concerning judges, employees of court and law enforcement agencies and/or in premises of judicial and law enforcement agencies which is carried according to provisions of this Chapter to powers of the investigative judge can be performed by the investigative lord justice of appeal of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Appeal Court of area, the cities of Kiev and Sevastopol outside territorial jurisdiction of body of pre-judicial investigation which performs pre-judicial investigation.

In that case the investigator, the prosecutor address with petitions for provision of the permission to carrying out secret investigative (search) actions to the investigative lord justice of appeal which is brought most territorially closer to Appeal Court within which territorial jurisdiction pre-judicial investigation is performed".

2. This Law becomes effective in ten days from the date of its official publication.
