About modification and amendments in the Customs code of Turkmenistan

"1. The term of temporary import constitutes two years.

The term of temporary import can be established if goods:

1) are temporarily imported for carrying out oil works into compliance and with the Law of Turkmenistan "About hydrocarbonic resources", - for the term established for carrying out Oil works;

2) are temporarily imported by the foreign persons using according to Chapter 23 of this Code customs benefits, privileges and (or) immunities - for the term determined by these persons;

3) are temporarily imported based on the leasing agreement signed according to the procedure, established by the legislation of Turkmenistan, - on effective period of the leasing agreement;

4) are temporarily imported for implementation of works on construction, capital repairs and reconstruction of subjects to production and non-productive appointment based on the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan - for the term established by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

The authorized state body in the field of customs affairs in other cases, except specified in Items 1-4 of this part, in coordination with the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan can establish shorter or more long deadlines of temporary import for separate types of goods, than provided by paragraph one of this part.".

II. This Law becomes effective from the date of its official publication.
