Article 1. Bring in the Criminal code of the Republic of Belarus of July 9, 1999 (The national register of legal acts of the Republic of Belarus, 1999, No. 76, 2/50; 2006, No. 1, 2/1168) following changes:
1. To state Item 2 of Article 85 in the following edition:
"2) act of the international terrorism (Article 126);".
2. State Article 124 in the following edition:
"Article 124. The act of terrorism concerning the representative of foreign state or the international organization
1. Violence against the representative of foreign state or the international organization, capture and (or) its deduction as the hostage, stealing and (or) deprivation of its freedom for the purpose of provocation of the international complications or war or destabilization of public order in foreign state
are punished by imprisonment for a period of eight up to fifteen years.
2. Murder of the representative of foreign state or the international organization for the purpose of provocation of the international complications or war or destabilization of public order in foreign state
it is punished by imprisonment for a period of ten up to twenty five years, either life imprisonment, or capital punishment.
Note. Person participating in preparation for the acts provided by this Article is exempted from criminal liability for these acts if it the timely prevention of state bodies or otherwise prevented the act of terrorism concerning the representative of foreign state or the international organization.".
