About introduction of amendments to article 259 of the Criminal code of Ukraine concerning strengthening of responsibility for obviously inveracious message on safety hazard of citizens

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

1. Bring in article 259 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2001, Art. No. 25-26, 131) such changes:

Paragraph two of part one to state 1) in such edition:

"it is punished by imprisonment for a period of two up to six years";

The second parts two the word of "two" to replace 2) in the paragraph with the word of "four", and the word of "seven" - the word of "eight".

2. This Law becomes effective from the day following behind day of its publication.
