About assessment of conformity of products
The Parliament adopts this organic law.
(1) This law installs the legal basis of assessment of conformity of products, the equipment, processes, technologies, potentially dangerous production systems and works, the software of the computer equipment, quality systems and services (daleeproduktion) used in the Republic of Moldova for the purpose of ensuring national security, prevention of abuses, protection of the rights, protection of life, heredity, health and property of consumers, and also environmental protection. Operation of the law extends to all products placed in the market and/or used in the Republic of Moldova.
(2) Operation of this law does not extend to products of strategic appointment, and also to products, requirements to which are regulated by special laws and to which for the reasonable reasons it is impossible to apply provisions of this law.
In this law the following concepts are used in value:
accreditation - the procedure by means of which the body given certain authority legally recognizes competence of body or person to perform specific works;
the appeal - the statement of conformity assessment body for review of the decision accepted by National authority on accreditation;
competent authority - the body of the central public management responsible for regulation in certain area;
the requirement - the provision containing criteria which shall be observed;
