1. The agency of the Kyrgyz Republic on control of drugs (further - AKN) is the law enforcement agency carried to other executive bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic pursuing single policy in the field of drug trafficking, psychotropic substances and precursors, counteraction to their illicit trafficking.
AKN directly submits and is accountable to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

AKN in the activities is guided by the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "About body of the Kyrgyz Republic for control of drugs", other regulatory legal acts which became effective in the procedure established by the law international treaties which participant is the Kyrgyz Republic, and this Provision.
