1. The national council for justice of the Kyrgyz Republic (further - National council) is the independent collegiate organ created according to the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic.
2. The main objective of National council is selection of candidates for vacant positions of judges of local courts of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic, representation on their appointment and transfer (rotation), discharge and dismissal.
The organization, procedure for activities and power of National council are determined by the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, the constitutional law of the Kyrgyz Republic on the status of judges of the Kyrgyz Republic, this Law and other regulatory legal acts of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The national council performs the activities on the principles of independence, publicity, collective nature, legality and conscientiousness.
