This Law establishes legal, economic and organizational basis of implementation of aquaculture (fish breeding), including protection of the rights and legitimate interests of the legal entities and physical persons performing such activities.
1. Aquaculture (fish breeding) (further if other is not provided, - aquaculture) - the activities connected with cultivation and (or) content, cultivation of objects of aquaculture in artificial conditions.
2. Aquaculture in the recreational purposes - the aquaculture type performed for the purpose of rendering services to the population in catch of objects of aquaculture with use of amateur tools of fishery, the organization of rest and satisfaction of social, cultural and sports requirements of the population.
3. Water biological resources (aquatic organisms) - fish, water invertebrates, seaweed, and also other water animals and plants.
4. Installation - the activities directed to release of landing material and objects of aquaculture in water objects.
5. Natural food supply - the fish, water invertebrates and water plants constituting natural food of objects of aquaculture.
6. Industrial aquaculture - the type of commodity aquaculture performed using special technical means and use of artificial forages.
7. Artificial forages - stern and the fodder mixes made for feeding of objects of aquaculture.
8. Artificial conditions - artificial reservoirs and (or) special technical means.
9. Aquaculture objects - water biological resources (aquatic organisms), cultivation and (or) content which cultivation are performed in artificial conditions.
10. Pasturable aquaculture - the type of commodity aquaculture and aquaculture in the recreational purposes performed with use of natural food supply.
