About production of the enriched flour of the highest and first grades for the purpose of improvement of health of the population and prevention of deficit of micronutrients
According to article 17 of the Constitutional law of the Republic of Tajikistan "About the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan" the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan decides:
1. Since September 1, 2026 in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan to make wheat flour of the highest and first grades for domestic sale only in the enriched form with addition of vitamins and minerals (iron, zinc, B9 and B vitamins 12).
2. To perform production and sale of nonenriched wheat flour of the highest and first grades based on the signed agreements only for the export purposes.
3. To the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan:
- in established procedure to provide the state sanitary and hygienic production control, import and sale of the enriched wheat flour of the highest and first grades;
- realize measures for providing the population with micronutrients (vitamin A, folic acid and iron);
- adjust by means of mass media information and explanatory work among the population on prevention of deficit of micronutrients;
- to regularly organize efficiency evaluation of actions for prevention of deficit of micronutrients.
4. To industry ministry and new technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan:
- take activities of the flour-grinding companies and companies for realization of the enriched flour of the highest and first grades under constant control;
- take specific measures for timely purchase and import of vitamin and vitamin and mineral mixes, and also other necessary goods for enrichment of wheat flour of the highest and first grades;
- represent analytical and information materials about implementation of actions, the enriched foodstuff connected with consumption and implementation.
