About participation of the Republic of Moldova in the European groups of territorial cooperation (EGTC) and about modification of some regulations
In view of the status of the Republic of Moldova as the state - the candidate for the accession to the European Union and need of reduction of the national regulatory base for compliance with tools of the European Union in the field of policy of unity and territorial cooperation,
recognizing role of the European groups of territorial cooperation as the European legal instrument intended for assistance to cross-border, transnational and interregional cooperation, including for realization of the joint projects which are of public interest and management of services of general economic interest
for the purpose of establishment of the national legal base providing possibility of participation of competent subjects of the Republic of Moldova in creation and functioning of the European groups of territorial cooperation
The Parliament adopts this organic law.
This law partially shifts Regulations of the European parliament and Council (EU) No. 1082/2006 of July 5, 2006 about the European group of territorial cooperation (EGTC) published in the Official magazine of the European Union by L 210 of July 31, 2006, CELEX: 32006R1082, taking into account the last changes made by Regulations of the European parliament and Council (EU) No. 1302/2013 of December 17, 2013.
(1) This law regulates conditions, the procedure and mechanisms of participation of competent subjects of the Republic of Moldova in the European groups of territorial cooperation, including participation in creation of such groups, accession to them, functioning and supervision of participation of appropriate subjects based on the national legal system and with observance of relevant provisions of acts of the European Union. In value of this law participation of the Republic of Moldova in the European groups of territorial cooperation is performed by participation in them of the competent subjects founded according to the legislation of the Republic of Moldova.
