About introduction of amendments to the Water code of the Republic of Armenia

Article 1. State article 26 of the Water code of the Republic of Armenia of June 4, 2002 in the following edition:
"Article 26. Prevention of floods because of floods of the rivers, washing of the irrigated salted lands, moistening of the irrigated lands and mitigation of the consequences of reducing water resources
1. The water received exclusively by gravity and issued from reservoirs according to the permission to water use issued according to requirements of this Code is provided to water users gratuitously according to the procedure, established by the Order of the Government, for prevention of floods of the rivers, washing of the irrigated salted lands, moistening of the irrigated lands and carrying out irrigation.
2. For the purpose of mitigation of the consequences of reducing water resources and implementation of irrigation, and also moistening of the irrigated lands water resources move gratuitously with the permission to water use issued according to requirements of this Code.".
1. This law becomes effective for the tenth day after day of official publication.
2. The subordinate regulatory legal acts following from this Law are accepted in six-months time after the introduction of this law in force.
