About entering of amendments into the Law "About Local Self-government"

Accepted by National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on January 20, 2026

Article 1. No. ZR-337 "About local self-government" (further - the Law) to add part 1 of article 51 of the Law of May 7, 2002 with Items 2 and 3 of the following content:

"2) participates in process of development of the legal acts including components of mitigation of the consequences of climate change and adaptation, making direct or indirect impact on community and represents written line item;

3) is provided by fulfillment of requirements, Articles 28-30, stated in Articles 27, of 4, Sections 3 of the law "About Climate".".

Article 2. To add part 6 of article 82 of the Law after the words "programs" with words ", and also the actions and approaches to mitigation of the consequences of climate change and adaptation following from climatic policy".

Article 3. To add article 83 of the law with part 4 following of content:

"4. Communities can carry out climatic marking of the budget of community.".

Article 4. This law becomes effective next day after its official publication.
