About measures for further development of wrestling

For the purpose of further promoting of wrestling in the country, at prestigious international sports competitions I decide improvements of system of selection of talented athletes and ensuring achievement by the national teams with teams of good results:

I. Purposes

1. Main objectives of development and promoting of wrestling (Greek-Roman, free-style and women's wrestling) are:

(a) promoting of wrestling, identification, the choice and selection of talented athletes, and also their preparation as professional athletes, implementation of new types of competitions;

(b) enhancement of system of preparation, retraining and advanced training of trainers, judges and specialists;

(c) construction of modern sports complexes on wrestling, strengthening of the available material and technical resources, providing them on permanent basis sports equipment and the equipment.

II. Organizational measures

2. Approve:

(a) The program of measures for further development and promoting of wrestling according to appendix No. 1 *;

(b) Target indicators of development of wrestling in 2026 - 2032 according to appendix No. 2*.

3. Since 2026 the next wrestling competitions are regularly held:

(a) Cup of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

(b) Cup of the Attorney-General;

(c) tournament "Ўзбекистон botirlar";

(d) cups and the championships among the military personnel and employees of Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies.

4. Determine that the sports competitions specified in Item 3 of this resolution since 2026 are held at the expense of means of Association of wrestling of Uzbekistan and charitable gifts.

III. Professional training of athletes and creation of their reserve

5. Approve the offer of the Ministry of Sport, National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan and Association of wrestling of Uzbekistan on creation of Regional academy of wrestling under Association of wrestling of Uzbekistan (further - Academy).
