About cooperation in the field of tourism

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan which are hereinafter referred to as the Party

for the purpose of creating favorable conditions for tourism development and the best acquaintance with cultural life of the population of the states of the Parties;

recognizing mutual interest in close and long-term collaboration in the field of tourism;

wishing to develop the relations between the states of the Parties in the field of tourism, and also between their national subjects of tourist activities;

in view of important role of tourism in economic, social and cultural progress of the states of the Parties;

aiming to reach effective cooperation of the Parties in the field of tourism;

agreed as follows:

Article 1.

The parties promote cooperation increase in the field of tourism for the purpose of acquaintance of citizens of the state of one Party with achievements in the field of science, economy, social development, culture, with natural sights, and also historical and cultural monuments and traditions of the people of the state of other Party.

The cooperation is performed on the basis of equality, mutual advantage, according to the legislation of the states of the Parties, provisions of this agreement and international treaties which participants are the states of the Parties.

Article 2.

The parties support close cooperation between authorized state bodies of the Parties and the tourist organizations, and also between other organizations participating in development of the international and internal tourism.

The parties promote promotion of such joint tourist routes and brands as "Great Silk way" and others, by the organization of the international conferences, forums, seminars and exhibitions, publications in mass media and the Internet.

Article 3.

The parties cooperate in the following directions:

- holding advertizing campaigns in mass media in the states of the Parties;
