About entering of amendments and changes into the Law "About Pawnshops and Activities of Pawnshops"

Accepted by National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on July 3, 2025

Article 1. No. ZR-43 "About pawnshops and activities of pawnshops" (further - the Law) to add article 2 of the Law of December 3, 2003 with new paragraphs of the following content:

"the affiliate - persons determined by article 8 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About banks and banking activity";

real beneficiaries - persons, stipulated in Item 14 parts 1 of article 3 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About anti-money laundering and terrorism financing".".

Article 2. In article 6 of the Law:

The Item "z.1" before the words "owner managing director" to add 1) with words "(if the specified criminal record is not extinguished or is not removed in the procedure established by the law)";

To add 2) with the Item "z.2" of the following content:

"h. 2) shall not have the participant, the beneficial owner or the managing director having share of voice of 10 and more percent who or affiliates of which in the past made act which, according to Council of the Central bank, confirmed according to the procedure, established by legal acts of Council of the Central bank, gives the grounds to believe that actions of such persons as the member with voting power in case of decision making of governing body of pawnshop or as the managing director can result in bankruptcy or deterioration in financial condition of this pawnshop or to discredit of its goodwill;";

To add 3) with the Item "z.3" of the following content:

"h. 3) more, included in lists of faces tied with terrorism or distribution of weapons of mass destruction, the United Nations constituted by resolutions of the Security Council or according to them shall not have the participant or the head from voice shares in the amount of 10 percent or;".
