About secondary professional education

This Law regulates legal, organizational, economic basis and bases of management of secondary professional education, procedure of activities by his subjects, the rights of citizens to receipt of secondary professional education.

Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. Basic concepts

In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

- the state accreditation of educational institution of secondary professional education – determination of the status of educational institution of secondary professional education for conducting educational activities according to the state educational standard of secondary professional education;

- release certification – procedure for establishment of compliance of content, level and quality of training of graduates of educational institutions of secondary professional education to requirements of the state educational standards of secondary professional education;

- the state certification of educational institution of secondary professional education – determination of compliance of material and personnel base of educational institution of secondary professional education to requirements of the state educational standard of secondary professional education and compliance of activities of educational institution of secondary professional education according to the established regulations;

- the authorized state body in the field of secondary professional education – the central executive body of the government of the Republic of Tajikistan which realizes state policy in the field of secondary professional education controls and directs process of education and training in educational institutions, irrespective of form of business;

- educational institution of secondary professional education – the public and non-state educational institution performing continuous process of secondary professional education, realizing curricula and programs;

- the curriculum – the document determining studying of subjects and their annual distribution to the entire period of training in educational institutions;

- quality of training – method of the correct and effective organization of training process as a result of which person gets education;

- quality of education – complex of indicators of the state educational standards of secondary professional education and the state requirements;

- the state educational standard of secondary professional education – complex of the regulations establishing education content, value and terms of training, amount of academic load, level of assimilation of knowledge by students and determining the main requirements to ensuring training process, contents of training programs and assessment of level of knowledge in educational institutions of secondary professional education taking into account national and universal achievements;

- the qualification standard of secondary professional education – complex of the regulations establishing single requirements to qualifications of secondary professional education;

- qualification – the type and extent of professional training of the graduate for accomplishment of professional activity or continuation of training which are reflected in the document on the corresponding education;
