About entering of amendment into the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About detention in case of criminal proceeding", directed to the prevention of tortures concerning arrested

The this Law by entering of amendment into the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About detention in case of criminal proceeding" establishes procedure for obligatory medical examination in the most pre-trial detention center.
This Law serves the prevention of cases of application of tortures and others cruel, inhuman or degrading treatments concerning suspects and persons accused.
Article 1. Add the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan of September 29, 2011 with No. ZRU-298 "About detention in case of criminal proceeding" (Sheets of chambers of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 2011, No. 9, Art. 251; 2012, No. 9/1, of Art. 238; 2019, No. 2, Art. 47, No. 5, Art. 267, No. 8, Art. 469, No. 9, Art. 592; 2021, appendix to No. 4, No. 11, Art. 1061; 2022, No. 5, Art. 464; 2024, No. 9, Art. 964, No. 12, Art. 1285) Article 27-1, of the following content:
"Article 27-1. Obligatory medical examination taken into custody
Before the placement to the pre-trial detention center prisoners are exposed to obligatory medical examination in the most pre-trial detention center.
Obligatory medical examination is performed by the medical employee within two hours from the moment of delivery taken into custody to the pre-trial detention center.
